Q: Is there a consultation fee to speak with an attorney?
A: Yes. The consultation fee is $75.00 (seventy-five dollars USD) for an initial consultation of 1 HOUR, either in person or via phone. We require a consultation fee to focus the attorney’s time on individuals and businesses who are seriously considering retaining an attorney and who are ready, willing, and able to retain us for our services. The $75.00 consultation fee applies to your first-time new client appointment only. However, if you have previously had an initial consultation with us and did not retained us on your case, but you would like to meet with us again, the hourly rate of $100.00 applies to any subsequent appointment(s).
Q: Can I speak directly with the attorney without a paid consultation?
A: No. New clients must pay the consultation fee to speak with the attorney. If our office is retained on your case, you will not pay any subsequent consultation fees to speak with the attorney about your case.
Q: How do I make an appointment for a consultation with the attorney?
A: We're flexible and make it easy for you to connect with us. You may schedule a consultation yourself by selecting an available date and timeslot on our calendar. Please click the “Schedule A Consultation” link located on the home page to see the calendar and schedule your consultation or appointment. Feel free to call us at (404) 981-6819 or email us pkaysee@klegalgroup.com if you prefer.
Q: Will you credit the consultation fee to my legal fee balance if I hire you?
A: Yes. We credit the $75.00 toward your legal fees if you retain our services on your case within the next 15 business days from your consultation.
Q: How much time do I have with the attorney if I pay the consultation fee?
A: We reserve one hour for each consultation. Some people need longer than others, but you will have up to one hour. On average, consultations usually take between 30 to 45 minutes.
Q: Who will work on my case if I hire you?
A: The attorney will work on your case. The attorney may have staff such as the paralegal and/or office manager contact you about administrative matters, updates and payments on your case. However, the only person who will work on the merits of your case is your attorney. Once you are a client, you may contact the attorney directly when you have a question.
Q: How much will it cost to hire you?
A: Your legal fees can depend on several factors that we don’t currently know about you. Generally, simpler cases cost less than more complex matters. However, you will know exactly how much our legal fees are after you have discussed all the facts of your case with the attorney at your consultation. Almost all immigration related matters are based on a flat fee. Therefore, the legal fee you are quoted at your consultation is the amount you would pay if we are hired on your case. If your case requires billing by the hour, the attorney will discuss that with you at your consultation.
Q: What are your hours of operation?
A: We consult with new clients in person or via telephone Monday to Friday between the hours of 10:00am to 4:00pm EST and Saturday by appointment only. Please click the “Schedule A Consultation” link located on the home page to see the calendar and schedule your consultation or appointment. Feel free to call us at (404) 981-6819 or email us at pkaysee@klegalgroup.com any day or time. We will return messages and emails within 24 to 48 hours.
Q: If I hire you as my attorney and I have a question, how can I reach you?
A: At our firm, clients have unprecedented access to their attorney. You will be able to reach your attorney by phone or email. Your calls and/or emails will be responded to as soon as possible. If you call or email your attorney, you will receive a response directly from your attorney.
Q: Will the attorney come with me to a USCIS office or immigration court in my state of residence?
A: Yes, your attorney can represent you at an interview, scheduled appointment or a hearing anywhere in the United States. However, please be advised that KLG, LLC is based in Atlanta, Georgia; thus, additional fees may apply for cases outside of that area..
Q: Can you quote me a fee without having a consultation with the attorney?
A: No. We do not believe that quoting fees without knowing all the facts of a case is a good idea. We welcome inquiries from potential clients, but reserve quoting legal fees till the end of a detailed consultation. Because cases and facts differ, it is advisable to wait until a detailed consultation to provide the fees. Please be mindful that selecting an attorney based on fees alone can have dire consequences. You should select an attorney based on efficient and effective legal representation they can provide for you.
